 Shah Rukh Khan (also known as SRK) is a Bollywood actor, film producer, and television personality. He is considered one of the most successful actors in the Indian film industry, and has won numerous awards for his performances. Khan began his career in television before transitioning to film in the late 1980s. He has since appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, many of which have been critically acclaimed and commercially successful. Some of his most notable films include Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), and My Name Is Khan (2010). In addition to his acting career, Khan is also involved in various philanthropic and humanitarian efforts through his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, and the non-profit organization, Meer Foundation.

Shah Rukh Khan was born on November 2, 1965, in New Delhi, India. He attended St. Columba's School in the city and later graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Hansraj College, University of Delhi.


In the late 1980s, Khan began his acting career in television, starring in the popular series Fauji and Circus. He made his film debut in 1992 with the film Deewana. The film was a commercial success and he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his performance. This marked the beginning of his successful acting career in Bollywood.


Throughout the 1990s, Khan appeared in several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). These films established him as one of the leading actors in the Indian film industry and earned him the title "King of Bollywood."


In the 2000s, Khan continued to star in successful films such as Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), My Name Is Khan (2010), and Chennai Express (2013). He also ventured into producing films through his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. Some of the films produced by the company include Billu (2009), Always Kabhi Kabhi (2011), and Fan (2016).


In addition to his acting and producing career, Shah Rukh Khan is also involved in various philanthropic and humanitarian efforts. He is a Goodwill Ambassador for the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), and through his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, he has supported causes such as education and healthcare for underprivileged children. He also runs a non-profit organization, Meer Foundation, which works for the welfare of acid attack survivors.


Shah Rukh Khan is considered one of the most influential actors in the Indian film industry and has a huge fan following all around the world. He continues to star in films and is considered one of the most bankable actors in Bollywood.
